freezer

Hello John. I have a canyon star toy hauler that I put a freezer and 7 foot smoker in, when I used to tour and do kcbs smoking competitions. It was almost a must for me as I stocked up on u.s.d.a. prime meats before I left for the month to compete on weekends in various states where the prize money was substantial. I almost went with a smaller 2 foot chest model, but am so glad I stepped up to the 4 foot chest. I have since stopped competing but use that freezer for so many things now. Lord knows the freezer in the coach holds so little. Try to fit a couple pizzas in the fridge! So, I picked mine up at wallmart for right around 100 dollars, and can easily take it in and out due to the weight of about 30 lbs. I fill that rascal up with everything you can imagine, and head out for a week or so and never worry about getting to the store for provisions.

Yep!

Have used a chest freezer and apartment size 'fridge in the garage of our Outlaw.

And, we found that a portable powered freezer in a bin is actually the best...for our needs.

We have also seen a "keg-erator" (beer keg 'fridge) in a toy hauler garage.

Toy Hauler's are the highest level of multi-purpose RV. Do it however you want.

Safe travels

How did you keep power to these set ups ? Looking at propane/ electric units is pricey . Don't want to run generator when boondocking just for a freezer . Will solar work ?

I havwe an ENGLE.. this is a Picnic cooler size, compressor driven, 'Fridge or Freezer (Depending on how far I turn the knob) that runs on 12 or 120 volt.. a great whomping 36 watts it sucks (Less than a 2 1141 lamp light fixture)

Added this one to the basement storage curbside front compartment. It’s 110v or 12v. Separate controls for for each section, so it can be all freezer, or all refrigerator, or any combination.
