Question Fun Finder xtra xt245

New to toy haulers and we are looking at the XLR Hyperliite 24HFS and the Fun Finder Xtra xt245 by Cruiser RV. I can't really find any reviews on the fun finder so I am looking for some input. We are trying to haul 2 harley's and want to stay under 28ft total length. HELP!!!

Thanks!1
Terry and Jim

What would you like to know? I know someone who has a small CruiserRV Fun Finder. They like it.

We were just trying to find out what other people thought of them, if they had any issues or if they had the chance to start over would they buy the same one.

I have the XLR 24 and like it quite a bit. I bought the Extreme Package which has the gas tank which would be great in your situation and it also includes double pane windows and heated tanks. All in all I am very happy with it. Sure, I would love to have a separate garage and a slider and have no doubt someday I will upgrade to a model that has that. The great thing is the shorter ones are quite a bit lighter (1000 pounds) and the tongue weight was nearly 300 pounds less.

Pros: There is even more space in the garage than some of the longer options, the electric bed is fantastic if you add some memory foam as it takes up no floor space, and I find the fold down sofa things actually pretty comfortable. The retractable screen is awesome in the fall. It is shorter in height than many competitors and this became a very big deal when it came to storage for me.

Cons: The bath while functional is quite small, especially the shower. The Queen bed is short, I may modify it to add length and it is kind of a pain to get in and out.

3-5 years from now I might consider upgrading my truck and going to the longer units but for now this is perfect. It carries 17 foot canoe with a kayak on top of it. Two thumbs up from me. You might want to check out the forest river forums. There is a pretty active XLR community in there and most of that would apply to the Cruiser versions.

Thanks Green18! We really like the lay out of the XLR 24 we are trying to down size. We are coming from a 34ft 5th wheel (not a toy hauler). When we were looking it seemed like the garage area on the 24 was bigger than the ones with the dividing wall. Coming from a good sized 5th wheel it will take a little getting use to the size of the bath and bed. Neither my husband or I are real tall so hopefully the bed will be big enough. With the shower do you have problems with the shower curtain coming out of the shower and getting water all over the floor.

I have not taken many showers in it but did not have issues. The bigger problem was the curtain sticking to me. Others have suggested the extended shower curtain bar they sell on camping world to add some space. The shower could definitely use a bit more room.
