Gas tank fitting leak fix?

I recently drained & dropped my plastic gas tank to replace all the 12-year-old, crumbly fuel lines. I must have jarred the filler vent fitting in the process, because now when I fill the tank, gas oozes out between the tank and the fitting (where I have drawn the blue arrow in the attached photo.)

Does anyone know what kind of fitting this is and how I would go about repairing the leak? Can I just clean it well and apply some sort of spooge all around it, or should I disassemble and use some sort of gaskets?

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this. We are leaving in 3 days for a 2-month trip!

David

Looks like there is the filler next to it?

1st. See if you knocked the nut loose. If you can tighten it.

Still leaks, if so you are looking for a gas tank bulk head fitting.
Google search for it. Will also let you see the design.
Cross your fingers you can reach far enough to replace it, if you have to.
