Generator stumbling/searching for idle.

So...been digging around on this and it sounds like a gummy carb issue. Thing is, apparently Onan made a product to cure this called 4C years ago. As of now, best I can tell, its been discontinued. Does anyone know a replacement product to use instead of the 4c?

Are you working with fresh fuel?

If not, this stuff we have today with up to 10% methanol only lasts 90 days without being treated with a fuel stabilizer to keep it from breaking down. Even at that it's barely good for 6 months.

Seafoam is some pretty good stuff for cleaning and maintaining but it's not a great stabilizer. Sta-Bil is the right stuff..

yeah the fuel was fresh. I actually ran it all but dry before putting it in storage and dumped the fuel from the carb before putting it up...
