Getting a new 5th wheel Spartan or Voltage or ????

Right now looking at a Prime time Spart 1245 -- 2016 model or the Dutchman Voltage 3895 2016 model .... Any input as to pro's and cons on these units , and how are the D-rings in the garage rated / attached for loads ??

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Russell

Have you looked at the other brands? I used to like the Voltage toy haulers but they seem to have a bad reputation now and personally think there are better options. I just bought a Momentum 385TH a few weeks ago but went in a new Voltage today and to me there's no comparison. We looked at most all the tiny haulers and Voltage was at the very bottom for us. I'm not putting it down and they are very nice but just read way too many negative comments and reviews.

C130 I have looked at others... I was sold on the Cyclone till I went into a Spartan. Right now the Spartan 1245 has me sold. I did like the Momentum , I was looking at the 350 M or the 388 M in the M class, but have read they are having some troubles with structural problems and axels and such. I really like the Spartan and all it has to offer. Still torn , just wanted other opinions.

Momentum is still on my list though. I will do more research on the Voltage.

Thanks

Russ

We didn't look at the Spartan so I'm no help there. We previously owned a Fuzion which we really liked and had zero problems with but wound up with the Momentum this time. We just looked a lot and narrowed our choices down to the ones we liked the best. You'll find owners that love and hate every brand and find that every brand has its issues. Maybe someone will have some info on the Spartan, good luck.

Russ, take a look through the XLR Thunderbolt line and their floorplans. All brands are pretty close in quality. It's the after sale support that differentiates manufacturers. XLR and GD seem to go above and beyond other brands.

Yup, that's true Dave. I just don't have any experience with that division. Every FR division is individually operated and some are better to deal with than others. Maybe someone with direct experience will chime in?
