Getting ready to take delivery of a 2013 Dutchman Voltage 3905

Well after after a few months of waiting our new Volatage 3905 that we ordered has finally made it from the factory to the dealership and is ready for us to take delivery. This will be our 3rd new RV and the 2nd one that we have ordered with the options that we have wanted. This is also our 3rd brand, first we had a KZ MXT 266, then a Keystone Raptor 300M, and now a Dutchman 3905. It seems that each time you learn something new while taking delivery of these things. We can't seem to think far enough ahead on everything that we want or need thus we keep upgrading. Hopefully the new Dutchman will fit our bill. So my question is, for those of you that have any experience with the Dutchman lines lately do you have any tips for me while going though the walk through? Any known issues etc to look out for? Has anyone seen a good checklist out there to use while at the dealer?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

We ordered a 2013 Voltage 3950 and took delivery in October. Love it so far. My only advice is we video taped the entire walk through with the iPhone to refer to it later if needed. So far I have looked at the video 3 times to answer questions I had when we actually went camping!

Thanks Hitman,

I do plan on bringing my video camera. We did this before and you are right that it is very helpful. I'm a little bummed because it looks like the dealer is not going to have my rig ready for delivery next Friday. It was delivered to them with some defects that they are taking care of. Right now they are trying to figure out if they need to order parts which would delay delivery. The problems that they have seen are minor. And I'm glad that they are going over it with a fine tooth comb. I just wish these RV builders could step up their game in the QC department.

Eric

Here's a pic of my new rig just getting to the dealer. I really like the new graphics on the Voltage.

Thats good the dealer is finding these items before you do. We only had 4 things on our punch list after our first time out which as you know is very good in the RV business. What I never understand is why the factories have such terrible QC. How hard can it be to have QC inspectors check the unit as it goes down the line? Also I really find it annoying that the manufacturers don;t supply a model specific owners manual. The generic one you get sucks! I have a friend here Florida who is a state Senator and he is going to introduce legislation this year to require any RV in Florida to have a model specific owners manual. I hope it passes.
