Well, we had a chance to explore some of the
campgrounds off Hwy 50 coming back from Mammoth..

We found out the hard way at several places that
the big fifth wheel does not have the turning
ability that the trailer had.

Also, most of the campground roads did not have
the higher branches removed, so I had to do
a lot of sawing up on the roof to avoid any
major damage. I'm really glad we bought the
fiberglass and not the aluminum siding, otherwise
we would have had serious and permanent dents.

Here is a photo of one of our opps! We had driven
down the entrance road about 1/8 mile and this was
the turn around.

Ah oh!

Yikes...that's a predicament! But I've "been there- did that"...I remember two years ago at Grand Canyon campground was like threading a needle, and the poor 'ol WW got some bruises.

Hey...do us a favor and DON'T post any pics of the battle scars...you'd just make us tear up, OK?

Howie,

You need to rethink your driving approach to all narrow an possible narrow roads. When we got our 33' Nomad TH, we took it all the way down to Kings Canyon in Sequoia and camped there. For a whole week, all we heard was "How did they get that thing down here". You need to pick a new driving path to save the trailer from the trees. Looks like a beautiful spot though. Hope you had a great time.

Clark

OUCH......... I'm glad you made it through without any "major damage". I hope not much minor damage either.
On the plus side, Now the trees are limbed for your next trip there.

Fortunately, we suffered no damage at all, except
lost some time cutting all the branches
away from the rig and avoiding harm to my beautiful graphics

WoW!
nice picture, sorry to see you temporarily stuck in it though
So it looks like you carried a little hand tree saw with you? Or did you fire up a chain saw?
