Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I have so much to be thankful for! So I am very thankful that President Lincoln and the Congress of that time, in the midst of terrible civil war, made Thanksgiving a National holiday.

No commercialism and I bring no gifts and I am wanting none - I simply feel grateful and thankful for what I have - and I do it with my dear family and friends and fellow citizens across our Nation.

Have a good and a happy Thanksgiving my family and friends - I am thankful to have you in my life - you make it better. I hope that you, your families and your friends are safe and that there is an abundance of love in your lives.

Howie,

Thank you for sharing that with us. I feel just as you do, spending time with my family and friends is worth it's weight in gold.

I'll be spending this Thanksgiving with my "other" family, my fellow firefighters, as I am working tomorrow. I wish for all of you a wonderful day filled with fun, friendship, and family.

Be safe everyone!!!

Clark

Howie, that was a great post. Lives enrichened because of friendship, not gifts or neon. A sentence or two that really sums it all up.

and Clark, spending this day with your 2nd family. I'd guess you and your fellow firefighters are exactly that - a closeknit family of brothers. (Maybe some teams have sisters these days too, I dont know.)

I appreciate all of your guys friendship very much. Interesting stories and conversation.

Happy and safe Thanksgiving to the whole gang,
Mike

Thank You Howie and everyone, very well said.

While I've never met any of you in person (hope I will someday soon) I consider you my friends. Thank you and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Wes

We love you too, Howie.

And, Clark, thank you (and all those who serve the public) for willingly giving up precious time with family so that help is always there when needed. What comfort that brings. You are appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving. See you all soon, I hope!
