The "3 Season" door/wall (depends on brand which it is called), was not available on the unit I ordered. So . . . at the last RV show, I paid particular attention to how they were made and installed and how they were removed from the various brands. I also looked at what materials they used.
From what I gathered, it will be somewhat easy to build exactly what I want for my unit. I get the best of all possible worlds (except for the convenience of someone else building it!!). I put the door where I want (on the side, not in the middle), Screen units the size and position I want, the ease of blocking off the screens with either clear or opaque panels, ect. All this for less than the cost of adding this option in (for the brands that offer it).
Of course, I have to build it myself. I'm not really that handy with tools although most of the time I can figure out which end of a screw driver to grasp and occasionally have been known to use the correct end of the hammer! I've also noticed that saws work better if the pointy end is doing the cutting! Looking over these walls/doors and their design and construction, I can design and build my own.
Will have pictures available during construction and after installation. I get to pick up my unit one week from today. After picking up the unit, I've got five months till I go full-time in it; So that's my time frame for getting this wall/door thingy done.
