HD,

Is Verdi just above Reno? Do they still have that old car collection in Sparks? I haven't been that way in many years. Looks like it's time for another road trip.
I know i've said it a number of times before, but get your dealer to weight your new rig. Lets get some real numbers to work with so everyone that is dealing with overweight WW's can see where they stand.

Clark,

When I moved here 10 years ago, Verdi used to be 12 miles to the west of Reno on the California/Nevada border. Now with recent annexations Reno almost surrounds us, and goes to the state line. Luckily I have USFS land to the south of my property or it would be too much to take.

The William Harrah automobile collection was auctioned off a number of years ago. A number of the best pieces were obtained by a non-profit and they built the National Automobile Museum in downtown Reno. It's a great collection.

I've asked my dealer to weigh the TH. Hopefully, I'll have some real numbers to work with soon.

Wes

Thanks for the info Wes,

I was a kid when we went to the Harrah collection. I just remember it being so cool, alot of really primo cars. When we come to visit, well have to make a trip to the newer collection.

It's amazing out small areas get swallowed up by the surrounding larger cities. In the Antelope Valley, high desert we call it here, we have gone thru a population explosion over the past 10 years. Areas that were desert just a few years ago are now downtown.

It's nice to have some forest land near by to save you from being swallowed up.

I have 2 acres up in Northern CA, California Pines, that my father bought way back in the early 70's. Just outside of Alturas. We went there 3 years ago to check it out, still VERY desolate, too much so right now for the wife. BUT, you never know in the future...
