How I Can Carry 22 Cases Of Beer Under My Bed

A new project completed....... We wanted to put the head of the queen bed
higher than the foot of the bed and what I decided to do was to give ourselves
some additional storage space under the bed as well as slope the bed.

At home we have 2" blocks under the front of our
bed. Lady Di says it stops me from snoring and
it seems that we sleep much better.

I added a 2" X 8" to the front of the bed frame and reset the piano hinge



Then cut 1" X 8" dimension pine to surround the frame with some
degree of comfortable slope downward toward the foot of the bed.



Last thing I need to do is to stain the new wood to match the rest of the
wood grain.

Not much interest in this string, but today I finished
up the project and started to put things
back.

I took some measurements, and find out that I can
now carry 22 (30-pack) cases of Bud Lite

56 I think its a great Idea. I'm building a 56list of things to mod when mine arives next month. By the time it gets here I should have about 56 things to do the way your going. Keep going and keep posting the pics and the thorough explnations!!!! Gotta Love it

Funny, I don't see 22 cases of bud light under there.

I have to say, you have entirely tooooo much time on your hands. Where do you work???? Think I'll send them a email.

I will say the bed is a good idea although if you leave the trailer a bit high in the front you accomplish the same without the mods to the bed frame, abet the beer deal.

Hi Tom,

I retired after a 20 year career with State Farm.....
so I do have too much time on my hands.
But I love tinkering with the new Warrior as I
did with the FB2200.

I also repositioned the two pistons, so that
it takes only about 2 lbs of lift to raise the bed.
Now it will be much easier for Lady Di to lift the bed,
when I ask her to get me another case of beer

Hey Griz,

No lock, but I did put a WW "mini seat belt strap"
on because it does not take much force to
raise the bed since I adjusted the pistons

I didn't want a hit a decent bump and possibly cause the bed to raise.

Hey, the only thing I've had to do is put some additional straps on the bed to make sure the bed stays in the upright position while in transport, It fell down once when I was pulling it empty over rough roads. Always rides better when loaded than it does empty.

Looks great as all of your mods do. I'm going to do the wood strips on the basement doors soon.
