...well i think the underlying point behind these 'sorts' of threads is very solid:

... I see a lot of entry level ToyHaulists pulling heavy rigs with small trucks. We have all seen the F150 with sparks flying off its rear bumper that is dragging on the ground pulling a loaded 'hauler.

So the 'elusive' new poster here is making a point for the correct sized truck, the dually, or a SRW, whatever, just get the right size truck !!

ToyHaulers, like all other RV'rs, sometimes start out with a mismatch. We have all seen that the ToyHauler is getting heavier. Good !!!

So the Wizard of Oz's flying monkee here, is a good man (or woman ) and brings a valid point to the table.

Good points there Mike, we all started with some combo, mostly mismatched, and have slowly but surely gotten bigger and matched up properly.

Hopefully with the rants of crazies like myself on proper sized TV's to RV's, we will have safer roads for the weekender's and the fulltimer's.

And after talking to you earlier Clark, you just weighed your new Truck and Alfa, and your GC came in at 23,000 (3000 pounds UNDER your truck's GC) and your loaded trailer came in at 15,100 (1000 pounds under its rating), although you didn't have full water.
You were one of the ToyHauler pioneers. And i am sure you have towed before maybe a little 'mismatched' as I have, and I probably am doing right now a bit as well.

But the input and experience you guys give, in your own special way is great stuff, and I am sure has influenced many of us.

I had a chance to speak to it personally (no, really!), and it was very putout that you hadn't called on it earlier...poor thing. It threw me a pic that showed those sad eyes, and I had to whimper a tad to get through the moment. All it needs is a big 'ol FatDog home (yep...that's what it said!).
