Thought I'd share few pics of my inverter/battery install in my '09 Fuzion TE.

First, my toyhauler came with two 12V deep cycle batteries. I wanted to go with 6 six volt batteries. The options for this many batteries are limited in this rig.
The original battery compartment couldn't hold more then two batteries.

The taller 6 volt bats wouldn't fit, so I removed the middle shelf and doubled up the batteries on the bottom shelf.

I have a spare LPG tank on the left side of the TH.

I removed the tank and welded in a couple shelves.

I then installed four more batteries, connecting the two banks with 4/0 wire.

Next came the inverter. I opted for an Aims 3000 watt pure sine inverter. I already have a decent three stage charger/converter, so I bought an inverter without a charger.
Here are most of the parts used.

Here is the final install pic showing the inverter, sub panel and the 30A transfer switch.

I love this mod.

Next comes the solar system to help keep the batteries charged.

Thanks.

My toyhauler already had a 50A transfer switch between the shore power and the generator.
I installed the 30A transfer switch to control the power between the main circuit panel and the inverter to feed the sub panel I installed. The sub panel circuits are those that I want to feed inverter power to.

Alright I might be an Idiot but, whats the point in installing an Inverter?? I've seen a few people do it, Is it just so you can run 110v off a solar fed battery system??

Very nice install ....If you have a few minuets to spare before you plan your solar install please take a few minuets and read a rather long article by Handy Bob here http://handybobsolar.wordpress.com/2...er-that-works/ I used his methods the second time and now mine works like it should........Handy Bob is a full timer and has no gen set.....again very nice install.....

A clean and functional install. I like the conduit and shrink wrap. I'd hate to have you see mine! I used #2 wire for the solar run. That wire is too hard to work with.

I know I'm late to this thread, but I've been doing a lot of research & I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this very thing to my '11 Fuzion 360. After looking at this write up, I realize that I'm in WAAAY over my head here

That setup is just about the cleanest I've ever seen. I don't know where you live, but I'd PAY you to do that to mine!
