Yep, I get it. But the CGs just haven't kept up with the newer model FWs, IMO. We have a 34' BH FW now and have had quite a hard time finding spots at a lot of the SPs, NPs and CPs. We even considered getting a 30' class A or Airstream. For now we'll try out 39' but even that will be tight.
For us, most private CGs suck. Too tight, right up against neighbor, really takes the fun out of the CG experience. Sure some are good,in terms of proper spacing, but most aren't. The only way to predictably deal with that is traditional SP or CP camping. Of course even with a 39-footer we'll still limit ourselves. But that's length seems to be the right balance between too small and too large. With two kids we can't justify going too small at this point.
Believe me, if the SP CGs would offer more big rig spots, we'd go with a 44 footer instead
After further reading on other forums, it seems that an equal challenge is getting the UTV / ATV to the trailhead once a the CG. In that case I guess it's best to get two ATVs so that I can load them into they truck for transport from the CG.
No longer full timing, but still camping 10 days at a time every other month.
