Is it a kid friendly place Howie? Meaning.. Is it a place that you can have kiddies ride along with you not only on the trails but in and around camp too or is it more like "trails only"...
We have litle ones (6, 4, 2)...
Otherwise it looks like a little slice of heaven.

Very kid friendly on the trails. I would say
trails look like they are groomed. The gravel
roads are very wide and also groomed. We encountered no whoopties and there was very
little ATV or motorcycle activity. We probably
passed forest rangers 4 times but no one else.

We saw one camp ground with vast open areas which you could monitor the kids (line of sight).
However, most of the camps are in open forested
areas.

It is beautiful. It was nicer than Mammoth IMHO.

That place does look inviting. What section of AZ is it in? Closest city?

Hi Don,

Here is our camp that we made. You can make
camp just about anywhere in this forest.

The closest town is Jacobs Lake. Look at the
Arizona map and it's just north of the North Rim
of the Grand Caynon.

I stopped all mods for the time being. I'm waiting
for King Salami to take delivery of his LE3305
so he can catch up

Wait till he starts adding stuff to his rig

Wow...that looks great...looks alot like our 'Heaven' in Utah....

And of course- doggie pics (Ginger is in the middle)

We'll have to see what we can do about getting another trip there...Moski just got back from the hospital (doing good), but it'll take her some time to recoup...

King Salami and Sandy pick up their new LE3305
next week and we're giving serious consideration
to go the the Kaibab National Forest in Arizona
for their maiden voyage. We haven't nailed down
a departure date yet.

It's just about 750 miles from Santa Cruz, so
we'll make it a two day trip to get there.
We'll be going via I-15 thru Las Vegas.

I have convinced the King to bring his monkey
on this trip.

Here are some photos of Kaibab...

Howie:

You keep dangling those 'carrot pics' out there, and I'll just have to join ya! Darn! Still gotta get the landing gear fixed (I'm not going to manually work those things again if I can help it!).
