Pampered? PAMPERED? I want to know that all you guys get the best between all the forces, because, quite frankly, I see those dollars 'flying' out of my paycheck like they were a lark. Go for some name/email-dropping- we'll get 'em for ya!!! [Geeezzz...if the iraqies can borrow some historical ideas, I think we can!!!!]

Alright WWF. The real reason we had to push em in was we had 24 to fit in and no drive through bay. Kind of like driving your truck into the garage to park your utility trailer. You box your self in and no room to turn around.

And quite frankly the Marine Corps works off about 1/3 of the budget the Air Force has and has always prided our self's for doing more with less. More Bang for the buck. That's why the Congress Loves us.

WW on that little chopper, the TH-55,we called them Mattel Messerschmitts; they were the cheapest things the Army could find to train us in. So as not to bust the almighty budge when they went splat along the Brasos River. Any one who has ever been in one would agree that Disney could'nt come up with a better thrill ride.

Gosh Griz I wish I did have one. They were a hoot. Had a little VW type engine with 8 fan belts that drove the clutch. Auto rotations were an eye opener. When the IP rolled the throttle closed it would head for the ground like a rock until you pulled pitch st 50'. Two seats, a very cosy two seater. The IP's had a daily pool as to what student could precesion auto rotate closest to the numbers on the landing pad. Ft. Wolters closed in the mid '70s and everything aviation moved to Ft. Rucker. Primary trainer is now the 0H-58 or jet ranger. Oh, Sean, soldiers pay taxes too.

Well Griz a hearty Hooah! to you also sir. As I sit here I am looking at my little "hoverbug" certificate sign by my primary IP a Mr. Acuna CW4 Ret. Mr. Acuna was a rotund 5'4" mexican gentleman nicknamed Frito Bandito. Whenevet I did not perform to his standards he would bang on my helmet and call me nasty names It's because of him I'm sitting here typing this. I feel like Archie Bunker 'Those Were The Days'

Mike, funny you should ask, at 1000 we also were doing the PDI along with Rod & Deb. Our loan is approved and in process. That does call for shared cyberspace adult beverage tonight! Another Hooah!
