Hi everybody This is my first post. First let me thank all of the forum members. I have just returned from Iraq and picked up the new 2500HD duramax and it was time to shop for the 5er. Well after getting real info and advice from you fine people, looking, barging and driving the salesmen nuts, Giant Rv of Murrieta finally wrote You Win! on my offer and the wife and I filled out the paper work. Supose to be about 10 weeks to build but I think it will run over after reading some of the posts I see here. Got the billit with everything except the slides, Barbie, and the Inverter. Guess its time to go TV and inverter shoping after I read all the posts on the best install methed. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and tell everybody how damm excited I am to be a member of the WW club.

Grizwald2,

Congrats on the new trailer. Man, they are going to have to start a Weekend Warrior forum here. You won't lack for help here, that's for sure.

Nice to see you here! You just got back fom Iraq, but are you still active duty? Thanks for that too!
Yea, the BBQ i thought was a bit much too, since everyone here probably owns a few of them anyway, but then again we end up cooking outside more often then inside. I try to keep the inside from smelling like a cheesburger, the gas i can handle.

Where you planning on taking it for your first outing?

welcome again,
Mike

and WWWEB,
also a Welcome for you !
another LE guy
And you're right, you sure can't argue with the amount of room you have in a 3505.

Where have you been taking yours out at? It is a good sized trailer, no doubt about that, so how does it react in sand or in trailer parks?

That was a good thing about the FB2200 i had years ago, i could just about park that thing upstairs in my living room when i watched TV at night.

But, we go big for a good reason.

Mike

High Desert, Thank you it was my privledge.

Fatdog, Yes I am still active duty 23 years USMC and counting. the barbie sits right next to the entry door. With the awening out and a slight breeze.... you get the picture. How bright was that. Don't know where we will take it for the shakedown cruise, it depends how close to labor day it gets delieverd. I hope I can go to Octitila wells since it is only a couple hours from the house. We will see.

Well Griz- welcome! And yes indeed, thank you for your work in, what I would have to term, God-Forsaken country. Glad you made it back in one piece!

This LE fever is startin' to grow rampant! WW's gonna owe a whole bunch of us a kick-back, aren't they Mike? I think I'll fill out my rebate form right now!

Again Griz- welcome...you won't find a better bunch here...I'm a newbie also, just a yackin one...
