Loading a trike in Newmar Toy Hauler

Does anyone have experience loading a trike in a Newmar Canyon Star 3920 or 3921? I own a 2003 Honda GL1800 Motor Trike and am concerned about the steep angle of the loading ramp. Thanks... Roger

That looks lower than most TT/5th wheel THs, the only issue I may see is the hump in the middle you may bottom out there, if you do bottom out there you can make two wood rams to put on the ramp for your back tires, this will help get the back tires higher, go slow when backing down, I seen a HD trike bury the exhaust in the ground, however this was on a 5th wheel TH where the ramp was much steeper.

If it looks like you will get high-centered, you can use the front leveling jacks to elevate the front end of the motorhome, which will decrease that steepness of the ramp.

The easiest way to load a heavy bike if you are concerned about balancing or hi-centering it is to back your TH'r ramp up to some kind of berm, a raised dirt area. Reduce the angle of the ramp by utilizing uneven ground, or berms, and it is a lot easier.
After a while you'll start seeing better places to back the ramp into that make for easier loading.

You can build a ramp extension. Either a one piece or put together to make the ramp longer and reduce the angle.

That is not always an option.

Thanks for the feedback. That suggestion is something that I would not have immediately thought about. I am impressed and thankful for the many timely messages from forum members. I have never been part of a forum before but I already feel at home here!
