This weekend on the way back home from San Diego it looks like I shot a rock through the thin front aluminum on our toy hauler. Dose anyone know where we can get a 4' X 12' sheet of diamond Plate for the front?

Jim,

Try the Yellow Pages under "Aluminum" or "Metal". If that doesn't work, try looking under "Trailer Manufacturers" or "Truck Body Builders".

Wow! A 4" X 12' peice. Your talking some major bucks here. There's a display with dp at our local tractor supply. A 2' X 2' peice is about $40. Square foot wise, that would put your peice at about $480. Plus getting it cut to go around stuff and getting it bent.

Again. Wow!

I think the thin diamond plate stuff on most RV's is way cheaper than the heavy plate a metal shop would carry.

You might price the stuff at an RV repair place. With that big of a section, having a patch welded in might be worth considering.

look at the yellow pages , around here I would expect to pay around 200~215 for a 4'x 12' of .080 thick , 8' long would be around $140 If I recall correctly . If you want to do from the bottom to the top your most likly going to have to lay down sheets side ways and live with the seams. I just helped my Dad do the front of his Sunline , I do agree trailer need more protection up to 4' high.
