Well, we got back the posts from eariler but we lost the posts from the last two days.

Looks like a back-up to the 8th. So whatever was talked or planned in the last couple of days needs to be added back on.

Hopefully the site won't crash again...

Clark,

That even applies to private messages. My
deleted private messages from the past have
magically appeared again.

But the PMs from yesterday are gone

I have an online construction planroom with several hundred thousand(+) plans and specifcations for North American projects, involving firms from all three nations,
and we have weathered catastophic 'stuff' before as well.
Losing a days worth of good data is definitly a problem,
but I am very happy and impressed that infoPop and the Administration here was able to pull it off, and over a weekend as well! Good job guys!

Post those thoughts again that we lost over the past day,
or at worst case just imagine that you are two days younger with a snap of the fingers

Mike

Full credit for being persistant and getting us back up and running in just over 24 hours is Hitchhiker who, without previous training (software issues are normally handled by Bill Rowell, our Webmaster) tracked down the software experts at InfoPop, our Forum Software company and insisted that they dedicate their best people to getting the problem fixed and fast.

Those of you who have had problems with your home computer know the empty feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when something goes wrong and you are trying to repair it yourself.

That will give you a small indication of what Hitchhiker was going through yesterday and today.

He perforned like the classy professional I know him to be. And please keep in mind, the Moderators and Administrators are all volunteers for this outstanding RV site. Members are not charged a cent.

The reason we have lost a few posts from noon on Saturday to 5 PM on Sunday is because InfoPop had to create a restore point which would save the maximum number of posts.

As my Dad always used to say with a twinkle in his eye, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth".

Dave
