I had some time on my hands today and finished up protecting the
flex heater hose in the belly of the beast. I found some foam
insulation which I used. King Salami used 4 inch plastic pipe
on his.

The green sheet metal is off an old garage door opener. I couldn't
resist the apple.

Your always two steps ahead of me Howie. After the pismo trip ( almost riping that dang heater duct everytime I took anything in and out of there) I dicided to revamp that too. I am going with plastic pvc. How did King Salami atach it? did he just cut the duct and hose clamp it on?

Howie, I'm with Don, I am going to do mine also. I like your foam approach. I was considering a steel tube replacement in the basement, but thats a bit of an overkill. The foam or pvc is a good idea.

Thank Gawd I don't have to do THIS mod, and didn't have to do the reading light one...but sure got plenty of others to do...Howie- finally got the sewer line one done- I think that was your first one, right? I've got the others bookmarked (e.g. inverter, fuel transfer, etc).
