New Floorplan suggestion

How many of you have seen the new Grand Design 376 with the rear bedroom and motorcycle garage underneath?

How many of you saw that design and said: "that would be great IF the garage was the full widgth of the trailer and just 1' deeper (IE: 8'wide and 10' deep) so you could haul two motorcycles and or a motorcycle and a jet ski?????

I don't see any reason why they couldn't make that floor plan work. Granted it may take designing the bed as a "loft" with less headroom in the bedroom but I see it as possible.

For that matter what if they opened up the rear pass thru cargo area to the garage area so you could also carry a canoe or kayak????? If they replaced the wall with a net you would have the option to use it or not......

Wow!!! That thing is beautiful!

Yeah, don't really see why the bottom 2/3 of the garage (floor up) isn't full width...probably frame requirements. The frame could have run around the garage edge, like a big box...but I am no engineer

We have seen it, love it just the way it is. if they made the garage full width, you would lose the outside kitchen. And I would not be interested in a flip up type of master bedroom to accommodate it. It is nice to see new trailers coming out that are different than the normal.

I understand that not everyone would be thrilled with what I describe. And like you I like the idea of an outdoor kitchen. BUT I do suspect that a lot of other people are like me and would like to be able to carry more than one toy while keeping with the two story floor plan of the 376.

For certain I am glad that at least the industry is starting to realize that there are a lot of empty nesters out there that would like to be able to haul a couple of toys but don't want to lose the living space to a garage! And for certain don't want to sleep 10 people.

For the wife and I it is all about luxury for just the TWO of us! And since we are still relatively young "glamping" also includes playing with grown up toys. Likewise in that same thought pattern, since we are older and don't have kids at home we now have more MONEY to spend on ourselves and that means more toys and nicer RV. Based on what I have seen at campgrounds around the country, I strongly suspect that there are more people over 40 with RVs than under.
