New owner 08 Cyclone 3912

Hi there,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a used 2008 Heartland Cyclone 3912.
I think I'm getting a pretty good deal. I hope to learn from this forum and count on your help with the unavoidable issues/ repairs that always come up.

Cheers

- Dynamo

Hello Dynamo, welcome, and congratulations. There is a lot of good advice here amongst all brands. However, as a former Cyclone owner, I recommend you check out Heartland Owners Forum for more Cyclone specific questions. Good people on both forums, there are just a lot more Heartland owners over there. They have about every Owner's Manual and many other helpful tools.

Picked the fifth wheel up today. No hick ups on the way home. The Ram 3500 was pulling without issues. First problem arose once I tried to back into driveway. Our driveway has an incline and while backing up the bottom of the toy hauler garage scrapes on the concrete. Too low back there. Any tips??? I guess I'll have to park the thing somewhere else :(

How much clearance do you need? If it's not a lot you can drive on wood boards. If you need alot look into flipping the axles you will get about 5 inches by doing that.

I'll look for some options today. Maybe some 2"x 6" are enough. I doubt it. Ive read about skid wheels that attach to the back frame. They seem to be designed for just this case.
