Humm...Captain FatDog..imagine the crew he'd have on a rowboat! (I think Cordie might be termed the 'second mate', ey?

Tom...got all those BB holes you put in her, while I was driving away from your house, plugged. Boy...I didn't think you'd take it that hard! I was wondering what all those "ting-ting's" were!

Hey Griz, warped minds do funny things, eh. I knew mine was but I think Seans has bite the dust too. 15 more days. wow, you'll have to start counting by hours before long. Know that'll feel good. I think my last 32 hours overseas was the longest time of my life, just waiting for that plane.

hey, since you hillbillies in this thread have that cool boat, and since i didn't see any trailer with it,

only a true hick would know the answer to an antiquated question like this:
BUT
how do you drive in mountains with a trailer that has surge brakes ?

now I know that all the cool guys have electric brake controllers in their trucks,
and i know that you pretty fancy-boys have Ford's new Tow-Boss,
but someone who owns the boat that this thread is about probably has surge brakes.

Well guess what other idiot has a trailer with surge brakes ????

They can be problematic when towing in steep mountains, ... what with them engaging the trailer brakes automatically everytime you go down a steep hill!!!

What have you back-woods hillbillies done 'bout this?

Jethro

Jethro </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Hey Jethro, Just keep speeding up as you go downhill, that way the brakes shouldn't engage! Gee, that was an easy question to answer. where's your smarts there boy.

and iffn that don't work just drain the fluid out of the master cylinder.

thank you Tommy,
because in all actuality both of those ideas would indeed solve the troublesome problem of the surge brakes from coming on just when you don't want them to,

and i can't quickly think of any other problems those ideas might create, especially on a really LONG and STEEP downhill drive in LOTS of traffic on a real HOT afternoon,

i'll let you know how it ends up

hehehe!! And Donno!! 15 days?! Whooo-hoo!! Thank gawd our September, as full as it is, still has the weekend of the Sand Sport Show left....see ya there buddy! (Be sure to call me when you get stateside, OK?)

Fatty...I'm getting the feeling that in a court of law, Tom's little dittie will not fly (your boat will, but the argument won't!). Geesh...whatdayathink he is, MR. GOODWRENCH?! (Drain the brake fluid...YIKES!!! )

Never used or had surge brakes...but my only suspicion is that they call them "surge" brakes for a reason. So if'n your not surging, you'd prolly be a happier tow-er!!
