OK OK OK,

Am I out of my mind or not, I just traded old Red in on a NEW Wedgewood Blue F350 CC DWR PSD Tow Boss truck. Got a really good deal on it, paid about the same as Red 5 yrs ago. I don't even think Red will clear the lot, 2 guys already bidding on it.

Will post pictures later, I have a wedding to go to tonight.

OH BOY!!!

Super....

I love the sound of that color "Wedgewood Blue"

This morning, my neighbor purchased a new one ton
Ford over the phone with a dealer up north. He is
on his way to pick it up. He said he could not
afford to pass up on such a good deal. Ford must be giving their
trucks away

Congrats!!

hows the 4.3 as versus your last 4.1's ?

man-o-man, i now realize why i was pushing it a bit on that hill keeping up. My 3.73's just aren't the same as Sean's 4.3. Whats that baby feel like??

Clarkie Baby!!!

Alright Dude!!! Way to go!

What year? What other options? Got your VM...are you talking about the Tow/Haul button on the grearshift? That's just like you had in your 01, and you use it the same way....when you're towing, it changes all the shiftpoints- especially going downhill- our last trip down from Barton Flats, I hardly had to use the brakes- it does most of the work for you. You will be startled at the RPMs it uses, but the 6.0 is totally different than the 7.3. I'm assuming you took it to the wedding!!

I'll try to give you a call when I see you're 'up'!!!

Sean

Clark, did they give you a hat. Gotta have a hat with Power Stroke on it. Can't wait to see that Wedgewood Blue.

Nice hat HoverBug

I've heard the 6.0 is a higher revving beast then the lion hearted 7.3. The 6.0 wants to rev more. Does this make the 4.3 geared TowBoss then just perfect for towing a 12-17K pound trailer? You'd have the R's with the 6.0, you have the low gears which would probably still be towing uphills in 3rd??

I drove up to LongBeach yesterday for a few minutes. My 3.73 cruised at 70 mph at under 2K R's. (I had to roll down my window once in a while and listen to verify that my engine was even running . ) But then again, i wasn't towing. And a loaded down 3.73 is probably no one's choice for optimum.

Sean now has driven both recently, Clark as well.
Whats the difference feel like?

Mikey:

It's definitely a "Holy Camel Poop, Batman" kinda thing...I really don't know how to appropriately describe the diff between the 7.3 and 6.0, but I know I like the sound alot better. And if I had to take a wild-a$$ed guess, the 6.0 is about 70% of the highway sound of a 7.3.

Pulling 10k+ is where the 6.0/4.30 really excels, especially in Tow/Haul mode- either up or down. Whereas the shifter lever's button was just to take it out of overdrive, the new TorqShift option really helps slow the beast down by a concerted RPM/gear combination. Based on just that, I figure my front brakes will go twice as long as what my 7.3's did.

Hey buddy...you shudda taken the chance when you had it to drive my combo around- it's MORE than a major difference. Now don't get me wrong- I still get to see my 'ol F250 about every other day, and sure do miss that Banks Power, but I don't regret the move whatsoever.

And BTW...70 mph's on the 6.0/4.30 is running the squirrels about 2500 rpm- quite a bit of difference!

Now Clark....PICS!!!

Sean
