Our water pump went south so I went ahead and did the following:

Installed the Shurflo Whisper King and the Shurflo accumulator tank....... very quiet! Easy install and WW left enough water line to reposition them where I needed to.

Looks great, probably works good too, does it get rid of the noisy pump issue?

Hi Tom,

The Whisper King is just that...... very quiet. 100% improvement from stock. I was debating whether to get a higher end pump with higher PSI, however with greater flow - more water use.

Since we typically camp in the boonies and stay put for 10 or more days, this is one way to manage the water reserves better. My wife calls me the "Water Nazi"

Nice set up Howie. I've been considering an accumulator tank also. Did you find the pump cycles less often and/or less pressure fluctuation?

Wes

Here is what the manufacturer claims.

SHURflo's Accumulator Tanks provide total control of a wide range of water pressure problems, in a wide range of applications.

Features:

* Reduces pump cycling
* Consistent water pressure
* Limits harmful spikes
* Minimizes noise
* No taste or odor from bladder
* Easy to install and maintain

All I can say is that this system is much better than the original equipment.

Hi Wes,

I would have to say yes..... not dramatically, but it is an improvement!

Yup... CW had the best prices..

I think the pump was about $85 and the accumulator was about $45
