OK..... I can't hold it back any longer. We found
a new place to ride. We've been hold up there for
almost a week before we came home.
The Kaibab National Forest.......

Sean and Melon,

No campgrounds for us...... we stayed in the boonies. The temps during a brief
time in the afternoon went into the low 90's but most of the day, the temps were
in the 80's.

As soon as the sun went down, the temps started to drop and went down to
the mid 30's at nite. What amazed me was that the WW must be pretty well insulated as
we never had to turn the heater on. In the morning, as soon as the sun came up,
the temps went up immediately.

The only problem with the area is that you'll need to haul all your water. Every
facility including the private campgrounds, lodges and gas stations must haul their
water. If you have to buy it, it's 50¢ a gallon.

Lady Di and I did several trail rides..... one of them was 70 miles round trip to
the edge of the north rim..... to Crazy Jug Point.

Howie,

Isn't the north rim beautiful. We went there a couple years ago for the day. They had just closed the hotel the day before we got there.

I have a goal to one day hike from the north across the bottom to the south rim. We'll do it in a few years.

It was getting cold when we were there, the leaves were changing colors. Looking at the pic makes me want to go back!!!

Don,

Good to be back..... but I sure did like where
we went! All the trails were family friendly. Nothing radical.
