Nice campsite you picked, were you the only ones there?

How did your sport quad do in the snow? I've only taken my Foreman in the snow and it's a blast.

Part of our time up there was during the Memorial day weekend and this Forest Service camp was full.

The campgrounds in Mammoth were also full.

The Glass Creek camp (Forest Service also) off 395 was almost empty.

The snow was real wet and even the 4 wheel drive
ATV's could not make it. I did better with my
Sportrax, but a snowmobile would be my choice
to do snow. I wonder if paddle tires would have
worked?

There is a gathering planned for Mammoth this
month..... I'll be back with the details.

Ahhh, Mammoth. My old stomping grounds. I lived up there in '87 and '88. Here is some pictures to a trip we did last year. We camped at Glass Creek. Mostly sightseeing pics

I'm going up to Mammoth next weekend, 16-19. Were staying in the Mammoth RV Park in town. We will drive up the Glass Creek and check it out, snap a few picts. The trailer has been sitting to long, needs to get on the road.

BTW, for any of you history buffs, the visitors center at the Manzanar Relocation Center has finally opened. If you have an hour, stop in and check it out. The NPS has done a wonderful job of telling the sad story of the relocation camps that were set up during WWII. I met an elderly Japanese gentleman a few years ago who was with his family relocated to Manzanar. He told me about his life there, and how he joined the US Army when he got out and reclaimed his home in Redondo Beach years later. He lived in the home until he died 85 years. I though about him when I walked thru the visitors center a few months ago.
