I hear ya bud...it's getting too ridiculous...I had to actually think twice about going 2 miles down the road in the F350 to get the 7 foot piece of drain pipe for my poop hose holder (couldn't get it in the Jeep)...and as I was warming up the F350, the Low Fuel Notification alert went off...dang...had to put $30 in it and got less than 10 gallons

So it looks like there'll be plenty of time to work on the 'ol RV...can't drive it!

Just another thought about pumping ...... stuff

If your rigs don't have much room around the sewer outlet, or if the outlet is exposed underneath the trailer, there's quite a few options of pump configurations offered by RVupgrades. Bill can talk about the different ones, but here's a few choices for tight spaces.

Some attached right onto the 4 lug sewer outlet and wired permanently or purchased with aligator clips to hook up only when needed. They all serve the same purpose in pumping water and waste uphill of extended distances.

The first picture is the system, the second is a picture of it installed. The rig it's installed in is the same type of setup as mine, but it's a different rig.

The third picture is of a portable setup which uses a 3/4 water hose to pump any distance.

So, before I order... I have about 75 feet to my sewer access. This model you have has no problem with that distance using a standard old 3/4" garden hose?

It will go the distance with a 3/4 inch hose. Like I said you have to flush the tank a time or two to get everything out but it will do the job. I'd take pictures but I don't think people would want to see that.

Haven't done anything with this yet...but I did get my basement wiring done- will update that thread here shortly.

Joe: that last picture is the one I've been "eyeing"...the rest of it I can source pretty well on my own so I get the lengths and system I want. I still need to try to call Bill on it...

I got my pump on eBay for $80 brand new. Another $30 for hose and fittings and it works great. I bought a 3" and a 4" PVC pipe plug and glued in a 90 deg water hose connector in each one and now I can dump into a house clean out opening and its a sealed system. Works great for extended stays in relatives driveways.
These pumps were developed for marine use in pumping out cabin cruisers holding tanks.
