K, little trivia for ya! How many camp markers can you power for the same amount of juice it takes to run one trailer light w/ 2 1141 bulbs burning?

Hint: 1 marker light is 290milliamps.

First correct answer gets a free rechargeable bug zapper for their rig!

Ok Mark,

It's dark already. I caught 15 trout since you posted and bought 2 solar panels today.

Now you tell me you're gonna sell LED lights to save me juice

By the way, we had the "Buford Lite" on at Mammoth..... probably 15 blue hairs came over to inquire.

I gotta get your cards to pass out

I did LEDs on my last trailer. They use less power and last forever, but cost an arm and a leg. Maybe when these lights burn out. I got them from Toms Truck Center in Santa Ana, CA. I found one other place in the past few months awdirect.com. They are a tow truck supply company and they have all kinds of cool do-dads.

Howie, Not happy with the heat output of the 3-3watt led's. Going back to the manuf and have them design with 1 3watt led. Also have to get them to bring it down on the color spectrum. It is too much of a blueish white right now. Housings are very nice and easy to install. Looks just like small can lights you mount in a celing. I'm going to make this work! BB

Yikes Stevie!!! You tryin' to drive us [me] to the poorhouse?!

Actually, I might give 'em a call to see what a direct replacement for an 1141 is. But the one I thought was it had a List Price of $54.99ea...I can add another genset to the rig for THAT kinda money!

But thanks again!

we've been replaceing some OEM air craft lights (reading lights and cargo bay lights) with the LED's. they do burn cooler, but as said earlier, they are more of a spot light, unless you can get multiple LED's in a cluster to fan out directionally.
I havent realy thought about replacing ours in the TH. the stove light is generally the only one that's on at night.
let us know how things work out Sean

We wanted a low wattage reading light for the bed, and went with a 12 LED MR16 bulb. Went to the local Ikea home store and bought a fixture we liked, and added it above the exsiting bed light.
It is almost too bright for me, when the wifes reading, and im trying to get some sleep. The 30 Led model must be Really bright. These are the ones from autolumination.com/mr16.htm
