Sammie says Hi to all and is really enjoying the "Family" toy

Here was one of todays projects. I hate the thought of all that build up in those tank, so this is my homemade solution.

We are leaving tomorrow morning, so you all have a great week and Griz, post some good pics.

What type of fittings go into the plastic tanks?
Did you use silicon to seal the fittings?

I was going to ask that same thing. And it also looks like you welded one tab down from the undercarriage to hold the connection, but i don't see any new weld fluff there at the tab.

A little debur and primer going on there?

So you now have a way to jet water in there quickly to keep the tanks clean.
Good job. We want to hear about the tank connections.

And one little story about little Sammie. At our campout she was running around happy as a lark, but always had one little eye on mommie. I was watching her one time while Deb and Sammie were walking, and they were walking around a truck and Deb went one way around the truck and Sammie ended up going the other way. I just happened to be watching Sammie, and when she realized that mommie wasn't anywhere in her line of sight, lil Sammie stopped and got very sad, very quickly. I remember looking at her sad face when Deb rounded the corner of the truck, and Sammie sprouted that same smile that is in the picture above. I reckon Sammie loves ma and pa.

They do grow up too fast. Sammie is real easy to love back.

The fittings on the tanks are spin on bulk heads. Basicly a treaded fitting with a flat collar on one end. You drill the hole to match the bulkhead size, then attach the fitting to a drill bit and spin it on. Both opposing plastic areas heat up and it welds its self to the tank, thust allowing you to attach a bulkhead without having to use a nut on the inside of the tank. Honestly, it blew me away the first time I ever saw someone use one. I thought it would never hold, sure enough, they work great.
