OK...who's got the cerificate for the 5 day/4 night stay at the Charleston Peak RV Resort & WINERY in Pahrump, NV? I thought it was courtesy of GRV until I got on the Western Horizon Resorts website to see what other resorts they've got and there's a link to a 'free' visit (but I betcha got to sit in and listen to some scum-sucking salesman who'd love you to buy a timeshare- who's game? I've done it once, and I didn't die from it, so I think you're safe, but if you don't have the cert, forgive me- I'll be at the coach sippin' wine!).
I figure there's plenty of TH peeps who probably either got the GRV invite letter, or could thrash their way through the 1 1/2 soupy sales pitch, so I say we plan to invade their resort with 'haulers and show 'em just what kinda people TH owners can be!
Too much fun...
Sean

now hang on there Seanster,
good idea
as per Wes's idea to me about the 'Mountain/Ten Years After' concert in Vegas on Aug. 20, I am sitting here at my computer right now bouncing back and forth between the Velvet Revolver concert in Vegas, and the Mountain/Ten concert also in Vegas, same night, which is the likely candidate right now.
I also got a couple of those "check out the RV parks for free" coupons too with my WW, i just haven't looked thru them real carefully. I do know that one of them was on the Colordo River and i can't remember where the other one was. Puhrump maybe??

Wow, that place looks really nice......pool, spa, even an RV size car wash. No shade though, so you better have good air in August.
With the winery, it might be a "leave the kids at home" trip.
It's looking more and more like we won't make the Mammoth trip, RE: NO TH. So maybe by then, who knows. Sounds like a fun trip.

Things that make ya go hummmmmm....I suppose both concerts are at the same time, right?! I'd like to think there's some way to TIVO it, but I guess that's not an option...
OK...we might hafta join ya, so we can make the WHR deal maybe in Sept?
and...I gotta ask... Ten Years After?. After what?! It's Mountain! (Unless I got the wrong Mountain!).

Mountain??!?!?! Ten Years After?!?!?!? We're already packing our bags, Mike! (By the way, who is Wes?) Tell me more!
We don't have any freebie invites, by the way. I guess we don't sign up for enough stuff to get our names on "the invite list."
King Salami has spoken.

King,
Heres the scoop,
(and Cordie and I are going)
first off, you know Wes as 'High Desert' here at iRV2, a Verdi Nevada guy,
and he must also be a Mountain fan because he picked up on this concert right off the bat,
Wes said: "...FD, I like Mountain too...Leslie West, WOW does that bring back memories. Believe it or not they're still on tour....."
Saturday August 20
at the Cannery Casino in Vegas (near the motor speedway ),
is some kind of Woodstock concert night, with:
Mountain and Ten Years After
And Sean.
they have rooms available there as of this morning at $104 a pop,
but i called Security there and they said they will allow some RV parking (no hookups obviously) for that night or two in their parking lot.
Cordie and I can go either way- hotel or asphalt, i like the heat.
But Mountain! and Ten Years! , plus right here in Vegas? I'm nabbing some tixs today, King and Sean and Wes, should I get some for you guys as well?,
oh,... aand King Salami, you'll get your free RV stuff as soon as you pick up your new WW. We did, i just haven't looked thru it much yet. Its a couple free weeks at some custom RV parks. We tend to do more desert dogging then fancy dogging, but we'll probably check them out sometime.
Mike

one oops:
(from AlvinLee.com)
"... Note: Alvin Lee is not playing with the band currently touring as Ten Years After. ...."
although it looks to me like he WAS playing with them last year
and was playing two days ago in Hungary at a harleydavidson gig
maybe he only plays under his own name now
Mike
