Just received my poles and holders ramp mount flagpole holder. What kind of fasteners should I use? Self-tappers? Haven't looked at the trailer, but I'm assuming I cant use nuts and bolts?

Thanks

Burger:

First of all, I reinforced the mounting tabs on the ramp mounts...welded a piece of all thread in the valleys to firm it up. Second, I drilled and tapped 1/4" mounting holes into the TH, and used stainless bolts to bolt to the coach, just enough to clear the inside of the ramp seal.

No way would I use any type of screw to attach...the flags really will vibrate the screes loose, and unless you want ANOTHER THING to have to tighten up before an outing, go with the bolts (SS of course!).

Thanks to both of you for sharing. My holder is just for the short pole of a TV antenna (only when parked). The antenna that comes stock on WW leaves a lot to be desired. I noticed other rigs with the crank up antenna that is directional get way more reception than I do. I have experimented with a coax lead and 12" X 24" home antenna and been happy with the results for the few times we watch TV. So my plan is to just plop it in th holder.

This will be so light weight compared to a pole and flag that I hadn't even thought of taping the holes

Thanks for saving me from myself
