Ramp door

I am building my own toy hauler from an old 5th wheel camp trailer. Needing info on construction of ramp and the frame (jam) that ramp folds in to. Can I buy the jam in different sizes? What are some of my options?

You guys that are building TH's out of old 5th wheels what are you doing about the GVWR ? I looked at one that someone did a great job on but the GVWR was 6300lbs. After it got transformed into a TH is weighed 11,500 empty!
I stayed away from it because in the event of an accident they will go by the sticker that gives it's max weight legal to be on the road.

Have you ever really heard of anyone getting tickets ect. for what your saying, I haven't, my TH doesn't even have stickers saying what gvwr. when I registered it I just raised the weight rating.

Mine should actually come out lighter, because I will be eliminating unnessesary things such as TV's ,stereo, extra seating and beds, etc, My living space will be reduced to that of a slide in pickup camper.

I saw an old Argossy a couple years ago that had a swing tail. The very rear part of the trailer was cut off and reattached with heavy duty hinges. He had a ramp similar to what is used for pick up bed loading. The cool part was that his toy was a small airplane with folding wings.
