Mr. Nibbles is obviously a man of few words. However, any friend of Phatty's is a friend of mine.

Buford is busy getting ready for the Sand Sport Show. He has a booth this year. Come on out to visit, we'll be there helping him out.

I have group-rate tickets. Check out the thread on the "alternate frequency".

I know I answered Mr Nibbles post somewhere but can't find it and since this thread is somewhat about that, at least in the last 10 posts I'll say it again here.

Thanks Mr Nibbles, I feel much better, Friend.

Eric:

Yeah...I've figured that out...that ditzy blonde girls' shopping for clothes in a swanky clothes store commercial (for the LA Co. Fair in POMONA) talking about where wool comes from (A cow. But is it the male or the female?). "And you mean the one with the...[fingers sticking up from her temples]?" and the blackhaired gal says "yeah..the tusks"... got me all flustered...laugh my butt off every time I see it.

When I figure out how I can take it off of TiVo and make a .mpg of it, then I guess everyone can have a laugh!

Sean

I haven't seen that commercial, it sounds alot like Jessica Simpson. BTW, how did you see the commercial? A major part of having a TIVO is so you don't see commercials. We've gone for weeks without ever seeing a commercial, then are surprised when a movie comes out that we hadn't heard of. Go figure.

Also, you should be able to output from your TIVO to a VCR or DVD-R. I've done it from my Dishplayer before.

Hummmm...you may tell me something I don't know, butttt...the commercials always get recorded, but you can fast-forward thru them, and I mean fast-forward (my DW and son have got that down-pat).

I haven't even looked at the back of the TiVo...does it act like another drive if you hook it up (I'm assuming a USB port on the TiVo to a USB port on the computer) so you can merely transfer files?? That's one of things on my life-list to figure out, but there's too many of these other distractions getting in my way...rather than hijack this thread, maybe I'll start another, OK?

Thanks! Sean

In this case, just consider the hijack a bump.

Anyhow, we had RCA outputs on the back of ours, so it was easy to txfr stuff. A lot of computers have RCA inputs now, so that would make it even easier. But, I believe TIVO has some networking capability too, allowing you to txfr a file to your computer. From there you'd need to convert it from a .tivo file to a DVD compatible file type. There's something called TIVO 2GO that handles the txfr, and a program called MyDVD that will handle the conversion and eliminate the Tivo encryption.
