OK Sandy...we're missin' your touch to this gang, and hope everything's going well...and where's King? Have you given him his own keyboard yet? Or is he relished to an old PC?
Miss ya much!

Son of a gun, that post just made my day, Sean! Thanks. Don't worry, I've been keeping an eye on you bad boys!
Since his return from Mammoth I've hardly seen Howie what with all the mods he's been doing. But genius runs in our family, you know.
The King and I -- hmmmm... seems like I've heard that somewhere before -- have been spending a lot of time mulling over options on our LE3305. The King would really like the rig to be riding on those 16" babies but that's another $2700. And with that we'd also probably need the 3-step -- another $350. WW wants $750 just to put the 4" hanger rail underneath (instead of the stock 2") that would allow us to eventually put our own 16" wheels and tires on. (But how long would that be?)
In the meanwhile, King Salami is in San Diego this week visiting his mom and brothers (both mom and one brother have some pretty serious health issues). He's anxious to get back, see what's been going down here on the Board and finalize our LE order.
I'm sure we'll have a couple more questions before that happens.
Sandy

Hey kiddo! There you are!
You really ought to make that trek over to Howie's and make sure he's takin' his meds...he's got more energy than the Eveready Bunny! (It was comforting to hear him say on one of his last posts that he's running outta things to MOD- that's a GOOD sign!).
And oh boy...doin' the ole 'mulling' thing, huh? That 16" issue is one WW should just eliminate and do as a standard. How many threads have you seen posted about this issue? It's mind-boggling that they just don't do it, instead of trying to add it like it was another coat of paint.
I opted to just figure it out on my own...there are some shops I've heard of that will do it for less. Heck...if it wasn't for the safety issue and the fact that the coach is $45k, I'd weld my own on- the hard part is getting it up in the air to do it!
Hope everything is getting better with King's family and he gets to come home soon...he'll have alot of reading to do when he does, huh?
Glad to hear from you...chime in more often, will 'ya?

Had to back off the WW today and finish installing
the new garage door opener.
I did the easy part.... and the mounted push button
thingy works great.
Lady Di has now has to do the complicated stuff,
like program the remotes. If I did it, things
would start smokin and sparkin, so I know my
limits
I don't even know how to program the clock radio
and the DVD remote is of course a challenge

Hey buddy!
Glad to hear you got off that one-track mind of yours- house was probably in shambles, eh?
And I hear you on the delicate electronics thing...Moski had to learn how to use her new DVD-R, because I just didn't have the patience nor the time to figure it out (and also because I would really never use it- I'm a garage-type that always has to be doing something, sorta like you!).
Take care!

Hey, the last time I heard a bearing salesman couldn'd figure out how to program a DVD anyway! Course, A support person like myself can't type without looking! I used to be able to when I was using teletype in the Crypto room, what happened? Must be age! Or drink?????!!

Tom!!
There are priorities and then there are priorities...know wadda I mean? Sittin' in the living room watching TV means I'd be in bed by 8pm, but sittin' the garage, having my favorite 'beverage', and glooking (yes....it's new) at what I need to do and how to do it is my specialty....screw the DVD...I'm not a movie person until I'm cornered with a dispecable garage that I can't STAND to be in (unless I'm in a clean-up mode which is highly likely!) and have no where to turn (like another friend's garage)!
And I am like you (amazingly!)...learned how to type by osmosis, and no-one's ever gonna get me to use all 10 fingers- NO MATTER WHAT! (OK...ever so often I 'throw' in a pinky, but only if it's convenient to the whole scheme of things!
Drink? Well.....yes I am!!! Thank you very much! [Clink!]

hey, leave me out of this
and Sandy, if the King needs anything, i'm in SanDiego. He can give me a holler if need arises 24/7
and Sandy, since you don't have the triple step on your new ordered LE, you must not have had he factory flip the axles. Are you going to have that done you think??
and what Sean said: chime in more often

Sean: I use all 10 fingers at a screamin' 100 wpm. Made a nice living at it, too, once upon a time.
Mike: A big thank you goes out to you for your kind offer. King Salami is supposed to be flying back home tonight if all goes as planned. Didn't realize you were so close. His family lives just above the 8 off Waring Road.
Re the LE: The King decided against the axle flip -- I think because he felt the dang thing was tall enough as it is. Anyway, I'll get him back here on The Board as soon as I can to ˜xplain himself.

Sean,
So very true. I think i'm somewhere around a screaming 20 words per minute too, and i only use 2 or 3 fingers total. Can you image the kids these days though? There isn't a darn thing you can do these days in school or at any new jobs, that doesn't require typing on a computer. Even half of the new F350's i see have a darn keyboard to get in the darn drivers side door!! Where is the fairness of that? You have to type to even get in the ol' truck.!
Now practiced hunt-and-******* like us can get away with using our fingers. ( ) I know i meant well with that.
And Sandy !!! 100 words per minute?!? I might time myself to see how fast i can TALK. You might even be typing faster then i can blurt it out.

Now...you just said yesterday that genius runs in the family, and I know Howie has one, and I know you have the fastest 'puter in SC, so I tried to put 2 and 2 together- are you telling me the answer is NOT 4?!
