Having read this thread ran out to Wal Mart today and bought the Roady 2, will install it and add it to my existing subscription as well as get another antenna so it can go in the wife's car. I agree can't beat the $28.30

Just looked at the Staples add in this mornings paper. XM Roady2 for $14.99. Wow! I am going to get one just to have an extra hook up.

Can any of you guys tell me what's involved in getting XM going if it's "built-in" into your car. My friend's new minivan...came "equipped" with XM. What does she need to do, to get it going?

Thanks for your help.

Sue

Hi Sue,

Your friend will need the radio ID and then call XM to get the subscription started. To get the radio ID, tune the radio to channel 0 and it will be displayed there. Then call XM at 1-800-929-2100.

I bought a Road a couple of years ago and loved it. Than I bought my 05 Chevy dually with xm installed for a year. I listen to Fox and the comedy channel, The city weather and traffic reports are a godsend for places that I'm going to, for what to avoid. My son has Sirus and you couldn't run fast enough to give me one. More so now that "Scumbag Sterns" will be gumming up the airwaves. My 2 cents.
