I was cruising home yesterday on the 10 and some passerby's where motioning like something was wrong on the trailer. I pulled over to find the pump station hose dragging behind the trailer. The flip latch must have got bumped. The door opened and out came the pump hose. The handle broke off and a hole was worn through the hose. Residual fuel was pooring out and I'm sure there must have been some kind of sparks and heat generated from dragging this thing behind for a few miles. All I can say is God had his hand on our travels and my son said that the people waving at us to pull over were God's angels.
I just wanted to pass along the message to lock your pump station door before traveling.

Well I guess attaching a new nozzle and hose is better than some of the other options of things to leave unlocked......like the 5th pin latch. Saw a crunched truck bed at Spot X for pres day....That had to hurt. Glad you came out as lucky as you did SJ. Thanks for the safety reminder.
