Thanks everyone...just got done washing it...whew...what a job...took 1 hour 5 minutes, and I was rushing...tomorrow morning is Wax Day-put some good ol Mothers Carnuba Cleaner Wax on it, then take it out for some 'mileage'.

So far, just 165 miles on it...was going to go up the hill today to scope out some camp spots for the summer, but our place is Central Station, and especially with new toys...and I don't have a friend that won't crack one of MY beers at 9 in the AM. And, of course, if they do, I do...it's been quite the day.

We are VERY happy with it and keep finding buttt-scratchers we didn't see on the sticker (amazing what you can find out when you read the Manual, eh?).

Hope to see a whole bunch of ya soon! I'll let you know what I find up in our mtns!

Sean

What?........only 165 miles on her? You've been spending too much time on the outside admiring the rig instead of puttin those necessary pre-towing miles on it.

Beautiful truck - inside and out. That is a nice color scheme you got there.
And a dually. You are ready to roll. Looking forward to hearing about everything on it.
I'd like to hear about those auxillary switches, the tranny, the 6.0, are you switching your 5'r hitch to the new truck or buying another hitch?
How's those 4 tires in the back track around corners with an unloaded truck?
Mike

Yeah HD...you're 100% right! And this morning it's going to be the wax job- kinda hard to put miles on it while waxing it, but maybe with it waxed it'll get a little bit better mileage than the 9.5 it's showing now!

And Mike...thanks...we love the scheme also...the "Upfitter" switches aren't hooked to anything now that I can see- they'll lite up, but "no one's home". They are used for anything you want to hook up to 12 volt. I cain't think of anything I need to hook up at this time, though..it's already got fog lights.

And the tranny is sumpthin else...I love it. It shifts so firmly yet gentle, and coming down a hill it holds real well in tow mode.

Got to get the new Reese 20k that I bought the day I brought the SLC home outta the F250, and get it in the F350 this week...I paid $75 to have it installd JUST for one trip- oh well- another $225 to get it installed in the dually. I'd do it myself, but drilling holes is NOT one of my forte's, so I'll let me local guy do it.

It is amazing how the truck rides- even with the four wheels in the back. The only thing I've noticed is coming down Yucaipa grade in the fast lane it tends to get that freeway hop, so I just move over to the other lanes they've ground. I also think the Rancho's that Ford puts on these babies now was a smart move for them...I love my Ranchos- just wish they were the 9000's instead of the 5000's.

Are you copying me Sean? Sounds like my truck, Reese 20k, Rancho's, except I got the 9000's. Don'tcha just feel like you have a truck under you now.

All well and good until time to pay the piper and put new tires on. Gotta do that in the next few weeks before the New Mexico trip, 42k and the goodyears are getting down there.

Tom:

All except the Chevy part!

Good idea on changing out the feetsees...42k? Not bad! My first set of Goodyears that came on the F250 lasted 22k...and the two sets of Big O's last about the same time...got some 50k Bridgestones on it now, and they're doing very well, but that truck was always he!! with tires...hopefully the dually will be better..got the upgraded BFG "Rugged Trail TA"s.

(Geeezzz Tom...you got me talkin' tires- TALKIN' TIRES! Yikes!).

Man...a NM trip sounds good...I'm with Mike on this one...Jeep'n sounds better than fishin'....when is it?

Be the last part of July. Up in the altitude where its cool for a few days, then to albq for food and shopping. Just a shame its only for a week, wish I was going on up to Colorado. Wife can't get off for more than a week at a time.

Nick!!

Gawd..glad to see you here! Ther's not gonna be any mods for a awhile...TDS (and Ford) has got me convinced i'll need to stay stock for a while. With only 265 miles on it, it's getting pretty close to the 'ol 2000...I'm just amazed at how this truck performs.

If only I convince the group, there'd be no Chevy guys around! Guess that's why I'm not a salesguy (but my lips ARE moving- believe it not!).

Hey...you take care my dfriend, and hope to see ya soon!

Sean

Sean,

I knew that you were a dually man all along

Glad your enjoying the new ride. It only gets better. One thing for sure, you'll learn to be a great backer, as whenever you park that truck, you'll be backing into most spots.

Or as the big truck owners say, welcome to dually row!!!

Clark
