I have a 2009 Cyclone 3950 Toy Hauler, the front jacks are VERY slow and seem to drain the battery, yes battery. I only have ONE batter up by the generator, does anyone know how many batteries I should really have??? But I can't raise or even lower the camper without killing the battery every time. But is that the problem? Is it the jack motor? I need help, I had to have the gearbox replaced, the original plastic and gave out, this trailer is heavy, and replaced it with an OEM gearbox and its much better, but I have no power and speed. Thanks for any and all advise on motor, battery, etc.

If you have a poor battery it will cause that problem and if you let it get worse it will burn up the jack motors. Without checking the amp draw on the battery that would be were I would start. Does it help if the trailer is plugged in?

Urban350, It doesn't seem to help much when its plugged in or even it I hook my truck up to the battery via jumper cables to add another battery. I only have 1 battery on this toy hauler and I'm not sure it is enough. But I do know I need to get the battery load tested for sure, but I'm so frustrated with these jacks I could spit nails!

Just seems I need to add more batteries or something. Again, I know if my trailer is low from having it level at a lot, then trying to raise the front end to hook back up to the truck to leave the battery will die. I've even had to hand crank this heavy beast to finish it out. UGH!

I think from using a low voltage battery you may have damaged the motors on the jacks. I would start at the battery and at the same time check all your connections at the battery and at the jacks. If I remember right the front jacks on my old Cyclone had a draw of at least 50 amps (I can't remember if I had a 50 or 75Amp fuse in mine the factory breaker was to small).

Check the connections on the battery, if the cables are corroded or a little loose, the draw on the battery will act the same as a weak battery.
