Still Waiting... Eclipse / DDRV, Anyone have similar problems?

Just need to vent and wonder if any of you have ever had this kind of experience?

We searched high and low for a tow hauler that would meet our needs with no luck. Want 50 amp (2 AC) in a bumper two under 30 feet. We have had Class A, toy haulers, and travel trailers. We pretty much know what we want. Well we decide to go to the new Dennis Dillon RV near our home and talk to them. They are great, they offer a decent amount for our trade in and promise us a new custom trailer in 4 to 6 weeks! Wow, that was easy and great! This is in April!

6 weeks rolls around and we are chomping at the bit to get our new trailer. My oldest son has football camp so we only have 1 week open to go take our family vacation and it is right around the corner. Nothing, no answers, nothing... No answers for delivery date, I am emailing every week asking...

Finally in mid July I get a date of August 8th. Too late for our family trip... I guess we are staying home... Next target is my wife's birthday August 13th. They promised the 8th, that gives them a few days to inspect and I can pick it up and head out.

Well that date also comes and goes, so much for her birthday...

We are fed up and can't begin to understand how this is happening, so we decide to go by the factory. Part of the reason I chose Eclipse is that they are close to our home.

We get to the factory and they make us wait to get a tour, no one can help us for 45 minutes. Finally Eric comes out and we actually get to see our complete trailer!!! It is out on the back lot getting all of the loose ends tied up. We are finally happy and can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

They tell us it will ship to DDRV on Monday the 10th! Well now we are cutting it short on the birthday weekend but still doable. It is her 40th so I have tons of stuff planned.

Now 18 weeks later still no RV, they finally have it at the dealer but now the service department calls and asks me to wait until NEXT Friday to pick it up!

We missed our family vacation, not to mention my wife's 40th and the entire summer...

I am so disappointed I don't even know what to do... Sorry for the rant...

I'd have told them to take a hike awhile ago. But since its exactly what you wanted I hope IRS worth the wait.

No offense but it seems you had your mind made up on what you wanted without doing your homework first. There's so many choices now, and don't be limited to your local dealer if you want a good deal...from a good dealer. Sorry for your troubles

No offense taken, but I don't know what research I could have done before hand to tell if they would lie to me about delivery date? I checked with the dealer and the builder and got lied to by both? After they had my deposit I tried to find a different trailer and deal but had no luck... Oh well...

Still waiting...
