Does anyone else have problems with these 1/2 moon shaped symbols in the go column? Maybe its my eyes, or lack or, but these suckers make it hard to tell whether there is action in a particular thread or not as far as I am concerned. Does anyone else have an opinion or am I the only one? I would like to have the admin people remove them, what do you say? If I'm the only one then so be it.

Senoir Tomas!

They're supposed to tell you what is new since your last visit, but that is all predicated on how you set your cookies and such. And it's not really the "GO" column- that icon is a navigation shortcut.

You know...I've often wondered how people use forum sites...I'm wondering if we could get together and share some of our 'secrets' on how we use these sites. Personally, I like the infopoop sites....the "alternate channel" site doesn't have alot of the features that this one does (PM'ing multiple buddies comes to my immediate mind). I've learned alot on how to get around without much redunancy.

Whatsayyou?

Sean

To try and clarify this further, the little half moon signifies "hot topic" and makes the "new content" hard to read. In other words you can't tell if the "new content" is there or not because of the "hot topic" symbol.

Or is it just the fact that my old eyes can't see well enough????????????????

Anyway, its just irritating to me ever since they added them and was wondering if anyone else had the same thought or it was just me.

Folks,

Just a suggestion - if you have recommendations for improvement, you might want to post them up in the Forum suggestion box where Bill Rowell and the Administrators keep an eye out. If you'd like, I can link this discussion up there. I don't know what's possible with the Groupee (ex-Infopop) software, but I know that Bill is very receptive to user input.

Hi Rusty

Thanks for the offer but if it isn't an issue for everyone else then its just me and we don't need to do anything for just one person. (there's always one, right) I'll get used to it, just have to make sure I've got my glasses on before looking.

You know Tom...I goofed...you're right about their meaning...but I've never really paid much attention to them- I see the time of the last post and that usually keys me in that there's something new.

and BTW...6 months ago I never had to use reading glasses, but now I'm at the point where I might go out and get something to keep them around my neck at all times!!
