Hey guys-
Long time no talk. Glad to see everybody seems to still be around. I saw that TH_NOOB had visited Pechanga a little while back and wanted to know what he thought of the place. Anybody else have any experience here? Was there stuff for the kids to do? We are looking for a nice RV Resort to check out that's not too far from OC...any ideas/thoughts?
,
Deb

P.S.
Thanks for not getting bugged that I am posting this in the TH section and not in the Camping section (I can play favorites can't I? ).

Hey Deb,

There is a great place in Palm Springs we go to BUT it's no kids. Emerald Desert, very nice with 9 hole golf course if you and Rod want to get away for the weekend. Also, we really like So Carlsbad State Beach, but it doesn't have hook ups. Going north, we like Malibu RV Park, overlooks the ocean and has full hook ups. One last is Newport Dunes, nice but $$$.

There is quite a few others we want to try, just need the time to go.

Thanks for the ideas. We've been to Newport Dunes a couple of times and So Carlsbad was our very first trip . I had forgotten that you had been to Malibu and liked it. We might have to be headin' up that way. I know you probably weren't looking for playgrounds and the such, but do you happen to remember seeing anything for the kids at Malibu? Thanks again for the insight. Hi to R for me .

xoxoxo,
Deb

Pechanga is very clean and quiet. I have stayed there a few times and we like it. As far as stuff for kids to do, I think the pool is about it. We have stayed there and then left for day trips to the wild animal park in Escondido, to the beach or there is a couple parks in Temecula for the kids to play in.

Thanks guys- Lampshade, how far is the wild animal park from Pechanga? That sounds like it might be a hit with the kids!
