We recently traded in our 2005 New Horizons 31RKSSS equiped with the Trail Air hitch you described. We pulled that 5th wheel with a 2004 GMC C3500 Duramax. After a misfortune due to an assembly error, we learned to love the hitch. As you go down the road you can see the hitch moving and taking the road shock out of the truck and 5th wheel.
The misfortune we had was caused by not sufficiently tightening the bolt at the hinge roller. That bolt backed itself out, the hinge roller fell and left us on the side of the road. After unhitching and deflating the air bag, three of us were able to lift the hitch back into position while being careful not to crossthread the bolt. Luckily the bolt was undamaged and not lost.
Once that was done the hitch performed very well. Be sure you keep the air bag inflated per the manufacturer's instructions otherwise it will bottom out.
