"It was a good shake but nothing fell off the walls or anything," said John Sharp, 80, a volunteer at the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce. "
The windows began shaking at the Pizza Chalet in Yucaipa and "everything started moving," said employee Josh Fred, 17. Through the window, he said he saw people running out of a furniture store and a Big Lots store. Dishes and supplies "started shaking real loud," he said.

Sean,
At least you have that new TH to stay in if your house falls down. You could park it in front of our house and plug into the garage so you dont have to run your gen.
On a serious note...We hope WWFan Fam is OK.
Give us an update.

Boy...I like Rock 'N Roll- but just not that version!
...and to think I didn't even have the system on!
Hope I can sleep tonight...for a guy that HATES earthquakes, you'd think I'd move!
Nothing harmed- surprising since the darn thing was 1.54 miles away from our house (based on the LAT/LON they gave for it). I was cleaning off the back deck and I heard this tremendous rumbling, then the deck shook quite a bit, looked at the house and it was visibly moving, my son ran out to see if I felt it, then I immediately went to the USGS site to see just how long it takes them to post an earthquake's data.
Sooooo...all fine here at the WWFan House! Thanks all for asking!
Sean

Thats good, we were getting a little concerned. Gotta admit, Sandy outdid herself. I'm still laughing everytime I think about that comment. It oughta be in lights!

That's Sandy! And Sandy....ohhhh....now THAT'S the avatar we come to expect from a SC gal! 60's colors/pattern! Makes you wanna get that VW bus/car-be-que outta the backyard and go for a 30 mph spin, ey? Perfect!
I hope to return to my more conventional Rock 'N Roll soon...at Moab! And tomorrow I plan to start installing the sound system in the SLC...pics will be coming soon.

Glad your OK Sean. As you can see the best laugh of the day was on this thread.
And lots-o-pics on the install....should be very interesting.

HD:
Yeah...and I'm proud to say I can handle it like the next lacky! Besides, I DO live in SoCal, and should be used to it until it becomes the bigger one than what our home can take!
I've got my BIL coming tomorrow...he's a retired (at 55!) C5-A civilian mech-an-ick and should give me great second opinions as how to make this work...
Still everything OK on the homestead....thanks!

We felt it at our house too, but obviously not nearly as strong as you did.
Our house still has visible damage from the Northridge quake back in the early 90's.
Isn't it weird to say "...back in the early 90's..."?
Man I'm getting old.
