Water Flow issue

Hey guys, I'm looking for opinions on an issue I am having with a 2016 Jayco Octane Superlite 273. My city water pressure is fine but when using the water pump and fresh water tank I'm having an issue where the water pressure is good when I first turn the pump on but it immediately dies down to about 1/4 of the starting flow. It almost seems like I'm pumping from a closed tank with no breather valve. I tried removing the cap to the fresh water fill tube to no avail. I'm wondering if the hose running from the tank to the pump is clogged or could it be debris in the diaphragm of the pump? Thoughts?

On my Dutch Star there is a filter screen that is in a housing that is threaded onto the inlet of my pump. I had a similar flow problem and found I had some black slime restricting the flow through the metal screen.

I removed the screen housing from the pump and disassembled it and washed the screen. My flow problem was fixed.

Does yours have an inlet filter screen between your potable tank and your pump?

Yes, it looks Ok from the exterior but I'll take it apart and give it a once over.
