Just a heads up if any of you ordered your WW without the factory-installed sound system. I did so and was told that the wiring would be "dropped" in the ceiling speaker locations while in production. When our LE3305 arrived, the speaker locations were marked with pieces of tape.

Tonight I started installing four 3-way 6x9s and very carefully used my circle cutter to open up the ceiling at the four indicated spots. Only ONE opening had speaker wire above it (right rear), in two others there were no speaker wires to be found at all (driver's side front and back), and in the fourth opening (closest to the entry door) I found a rat's nest of house wiring but NO speaker wire! Be extremelycareful when cutting these holes. Fortunately, I did not compromise any of the house wiring, which could have easily happened. Tomorrow I'm going to fish around up there and if I am unsuccessful in finding any other speaker wire I will have to rewire externally to my amp and headset.

King!

I did that too...not ordering the sound system (wel...you know why). I was wondering what they'd do if you didn't- now I know.

Personally, if you can't easily find everything you need to get your speakers hooked up without tearing the ceiling apart (and you can't wait), I'd take it down to WW while you guys are down this way for diirk's party (you can stay at our place before or after), and tell them [censored because I can't 'habla'] to pull your speaker wires so you can use them, and while they're at it, they can hook them up for you. Then they can wash and wax your rig. It's the least they can do for our SC friends.

It doesn't need to be that way if they cared...

Hi, Sean. Hope all is well with your beautiful family. Thanks for the reply but I'm getting to the point where I would much rather do my own work than have anybody muck around with my Warrior.

While we're at it, did you install your own system and if so what did you find up there? What are you running?

Nick:

Yep...I understand...it's worth more hassle than what it's worth...

Actually, I put in a 120v 280watt "Computer" sound system rather than fool around with the 12v sound ( see MOD: SLC3905's Sound System Is In!). But those pesky wires can't be too far from the hole- you'll just have to rout around for 'em a tad more- I know they're there.

Sorry! (Or did you find them already?).

Sean
