Glad I could help Wes.
You will love those wheels, especially once they are all cleaned up.

The new wheels were delivered today but I still have to get the tires. They look real nice.

Hot August Nights is taking all my time so it's hard to find the time.

Clark.......I like them all too. That's why I enjoy events like HAN. Thought you might like to see mine.

OOOOOOO Wes:

Gorgeous! Man...it looks like you could eat off that engine! (Boy, that would cerainly get your ire though, huh?!).

Looks great!

Question: when I had called Summit a couple of weeks ago on these, they said these wheels don't have any center caps...can you use the WW ones on them?

Yep, the Warrior center caps will work. But I wanted Eagle Caps so I made Discount order them and throw them into the deal. I figured with 7 wheels/tires, they can give me something for free.

Tom, i forget, but wasn't your 507 a shortie?
A somewhat light engine in a reasonable small package.

FD, The 509 is made from a Chevy Bowtie block. It has the standard short deck height design, same as a production passenger big block, as opposed to production truck big blocks that had a "tall" deck.

Christ, I remember running against those Z28's with the 302's. They run in E stock against the 389 Tri-powered GTO'S and I got my butt beat running those's. Them suckers would launch with the wheels in the air and it was all over. Even my addition of the Methanol wasn't enough. Tried everything I could think of! BUT, I could still beat most all the guy's at Fort Hood with my little GTO. Reminds you of a song doesn't it. Look for me at the backroads of Fort Hood! LETS RACE!
