Sirius is best in my book. I have been up north working in the artic and it still worked. XM guys were having trouble even in Northern Alberta and BC. They also have more and better programing in my opinion.

I have had both, XM first so that may have something to do with it but I like the programming better on XM and the Sirius which is in the MOHO seems to have a lot more interference than XM. XM also has Hockey and MLB.
So I like XM better.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can take a unit like the XM Roady and use it through your stereo both in the trailer and the truck or in the house and it sounds just fine, depending on your stereo in each application. Is that a correct statement?

Tom I let the XM in the truck expire. Just could not justify the cost. Their are plenty of FM stations I can find or I listen to Cd's I make myself. As far as the trailer if I really want to listen to XM I can use it off of Direct T.V which I already pay for anyway through the TV output into the RV stereo.

Hey Griz...Yeah, I know, why pay the cost of the XM, Well, I've just got hooked into this, what can I say.
I spend a lot of time in rental cars, not to mention the trailer time and I want to listen to the 40-60 channels most of the time, xm is 5 through ?, Sirius is in my dish deal but can't put it in to my stereo for the rental cars and the trailer. Need to find a better deal.

We have XM in our truck and the burb. We also have an XM Skifi that we hook into the home stereo and the TH stereo when we go camping.
FM is too sketchy where we travel, so sat radio is the way to go. I personally like XM better then Sirius.

We have XM the Skifi unit. I move from the MH, Truck and Motorcycle thru headset. Works great. Marty

Tom I have to agree with you if you spend allot of time on the road XM is nice. Back to your original question I have not done the Sirius thing so I couldn't give you an honest opinion of which is better. Good luck.

It is too bad that most of the new RV radios that are satellite radio capable are only for Sirius. Unfortunately that makes it difficult for anyone who wants a choice. Having looked at each for their line-ups and listened to several stations as demos off the web, I would prefer XM and that would be the one I get, IF I get one. It will be a portable unit anyways. That way I can transfer the unit between RV to car to home.
Take a look at the overall programming each has to offer and see what would cater more to your tastes. Then pick a portable unit as that would be the most versitale.

I have both Sirius and XM. Sirius in our BMW and on our Sportster Reply in the MH and XM through directv.
I like a few stations on XM one being the "Blend" and XM carries the IRL (that's open wheel racing for you Nascar fans).
On Sirius I like having NPR and I listen to 3 or 4 music stations. Howard Stern doesn't get 2 seconds of my attention. It's just a matter of taste and preference. Some folks really go for XM and some Sirius. Take the free trial online and see for yourself.
