2.5 foot more ???

Will 2.5 foot more make that big of a difference when towing with a Ram 1500 149 wheel base ?
difference between 32.10 ft vs 35.5 ft 600 lb difference in weight

Thank you
mike

I sold it last April :( It was great and family and I loved RV ing , but we couldn't use it enough for me to justify the big payment , so now I am looking at a travel trailer to tow behind my truck , its about 1/6 of the price of the Palzzo

Not to upset anyone. But you are already toward the top end of the towing for a ram 1500 and adding another 600 pounds and 2.5 feet, you will fell that some. More than if you had a 2500. JMHO, I would keep the TT <30 ft with a 1500. I like to do long trips through the Rocky Mtns.

Thank you , I think I am going with either a Jayco 28dbsh or a passport 2810bh instead of the 32 foot models for that reason

Thank you
mike

2.5 length - time height; 8 ft tall = 20 sq ft. 10 ft tall = 25 sq ft. to catch wind.

Then, that is 1.25 ft. more length in leverage the trailer has to a 1500 series truck that weighs 5,700 or so lbs. Travel trailers have their wheels about midway for balance, but that is also the leverage point when wind is caught. The total weight of a trailer swaying is what the tow vehicle has to overcome, not just the hitch weight.
